Stripedy Stripe

One thing I love trying to do is mix patterns. Whether it is micro floral mixed with large floral prints, graphic prints mixed with abstract prints, or stripes mixed with almost anything, the result is almost always gorgeous. I say almost always, because you have to make sure not to mix just anything. The color scheme needs to be similar if the prints are very different. If the prints are similar, like both striped or polka-dotted, the pieces of your outfit need to have varying sizes of these prints, or it looks like you actually tried to match but failed. Yesterday I did a much more subdued take of the Prada Spring Summer 2011 collection take on mixing stripes (as their models rocked below). Try it with this Jil Sander beauty! My next challenge: go bold! ♥
