Color Blocking
May 9, 2011 § 15 Comments
Since color blocking is a primary trend this season, I couldn’t wait to try it out with some items from my closet. I see great pieces out there at Zara and H&M right now that are perfect for the trend, but I thought I could pull it off without purchasing anything new first. To achieve the trend, wear bright solid colored pieces at the same time. It may seem really shocking when you are getting dressed, because we are used to using just a few key bright pops in our wardrobe. But this trend is like a welcome sunny day in winter – it just brightens your mood and is so welcome. So I laid out some of the brightest things I owned on my bed and began the match-making process. I ended up incorporating this coral skirt (seen here) and one of my favorite jackets which is so bright white, it acts like a color here. Don’t be afraid of this trend – try it out and tell me how it goes! ♥
